The first time I ever tried it on Reaper it worked well, but each time since, it's been like this. Has anyone else seen this or know the likely cause? I've reinstalled Groove Agent but it's happened a few times. I use the ASIO settings for M-Audio 2469 sound card. Close Reaper and reopen it and Audio device settings are back to normal. When I reopen the project, it says my audio isn't set up correctly and tells me to open my Audio device settings - when I do it lists ASIO driver as being there but no inputs or outputs. After what seems like a long time, the interface appears but as soon as I click any button on it, Reaper crashes and closes. I do 'Insert Virtual Instrument on new track' and select Groove Agent 3 which is in my normal VSTi folder. I've recorded a basic guitar track along to the metronome. This error has repeated on different nights in exactly the same way so I thought I'd see if anyone can shed light on it. But EZDrummer has a much better interface for searching for beats and assembling songs. Seeing the mcontentement users, Steinberg released an update (3.0.1) which also is a little buggy (the style and kit are responsible badly), they released a "hotfix" since that is still unstable. I far prefer the sound of the drums in Addictive Drums, so it has become my go to. No worries about the install, running Nuendo 3 with nickel, the manual is clear.ĮDIT after a lot of use: This software is buggy svrement it does not work in 48khz, he planted rgulierement Nuendo. It works perfectly and does not crash at all. The humanized effects are a joy to work with and the price of this plug in makes it a must have in my book. The fills and effects are very good and I recommend purchasing Groove Agent 3 for that alone. Also it comes with enough kits (without having to purchase expansions) to cover all of my styles of music that I create. I have many drum programs, and the reason that Groove Agent 3 is different is because it has a smoother more user friendly interface and great kits to go along with it. All of the sounds are of great quality and has that “real” drummer feel to it with the patterns and kits.
This program is very easy to use and operate and the interface is easy to work with and it is no confusing.
I have reached out to Steinberg many times for support issues and they have always helped me without any charge. It has never crashed or caused any problems on my Mac and on my PC running Windows 7 it runs good, but not as fast as it does on my Mac probably due to the 1 GB of RAM on my Windows 7. I am running a G5 2 GHZ system that has dual core processing. Installing Groove Agent 3 worked well with my Mac that has 2 GB of RAM and 4 GB of HD space. But the ability to create all of my drum needs in Groove Agent 3 has been awesome! The Percussion Agent is more for the grooves, beats, and patterns. The Special Agent has a very real studio drummer to your song or set up and some really good acoustic drum kits. Groove Agent 3 has two new pieces called the Special Agent and the Percussion Agent.
